THE STUDIO
OUR PHILOSOPHY
I’ve been a professional musician for 45 years, and an engineer and producer for over 14. After a long career in the industry, I’ve witnessed the full spectrum of studio experiences. My goal here, above all else, is to provide a creative and comfortable studio environment so we can bring your material to its fullest potential.
I created the studio because I wanted to ease the process of worrying about the clock. There’s nothing worse than leaving a session wishing you had the time to have gotten your song to where you had hoped it could go. My collaborative approach helps you get to the final product you envisioned, while keeping your budget at the top of mind.
I sincerely look forward to working with you,
Bruce
OUR ROOMS
We have four rooms that we utilize here in the studio - The Control Room, The Live Room, The Isolation Room, and “The Shop”.
THE CONTROL ROOM
At MoonCusser, we believe in using every tool at our disposal to arrive at the sound you’re looking for. For us, that often means using a blend of analog gear and an extensive collection of plugins, microphone modeling software, and samples. We won’t get into our list of gear here, but we’d be more than happy to talk about it all by phone or email.
THE LIVE ROOM
Our Live Room is where the magic happens. It’s an intimate, mid-sized room perfect for tracking drums, and acoustic and electric instruments. We have multiple drums sets and percussive instruments for all genres and sounds. We also have a robost analog and digital mic closet to explore.
We do have access to some great amps and instruments, but MoonCusser is generally a BYO instruments and amps studio. If there’s a specific amp or instrument that you’re looking for, let us know. We have a great community of studio musicians and gear available for hire and rent.
THE ISOLATION ROOM
The isolation room is small and dry. We use it for intimate vocals, violins, mandolins and banjos as well as close-mic amps and percussion. The window into the control room keeps you feeling involved and close to the process.
THE SHOP
When you’re looking for those larger drum sounds and distanced, room miced amps, we head to The Shop to add that space, richness and life to those tracks.
